Dear Sir, Ma'm,

My daughter is now in Canada and I really need EMERGENCY help!
She has finished 3 years of full time studies in uni and in September new semester is starting. But unfortunately I am not sure , that we can pay for the studies now. She is working now 10-5 houses a week as permitted.
So my questions are:
1. Can she take a semester off and stay in Canada or she needs to come back to Ukraine ?( her Study Visa is valid till spring 2019)
2. If she is able to stay in Canada how can she extend her visa if we decide to continue the studying in September 2019 ?
3. What are Your opinions about Open Work Permit as destitute student ? What are the pros and cons
4. If she takes a semester off and stays in Canada , is she able to work 20h/week ? ( as she still would have her Study Permit)
5. And the most important for us: if she takes a semester off she is not more able to apply for POst Graduate Work Permit ? So no chance for citizenship in future ?..
You are my last chance guys for information and a piece of advice, cause I really don’t know whom to ask ! ( but if You know a mail of Canada Government where I can ask all of my questions- please write it here )
Great thanks for everyone in advance

If she takes an unscheduled break in her studies, then you should expect the post graduate work permit to be refused. One of the main PGWP requirements is continuous studies.

She can only work during an unscheduled break if she is able to obtain an open work permit as a destitute student. We really don't see any cases here where people have applied for this work permit - so I don't think anyone here can tell you what the chances are that she will be approved.

Just to add - I assume you have reviewed the requirements for the destitute student open work permit. It requires a significant change of circumstances that's beyond the student's control such as war or the collapse of the financial system in their home country. Given her home country is Ukraine - I'm not sure this requirement is going to be met.
