Hi All,

My job experience is as follows:

Job A - 2001 - 2002
Job B - 2002 - 2003
Job C - 2005 - 2008
Job D - 2008 - 2013
Job E - 2013 - 2014
Job F - 2015 - Present

Job A shut down, I can't get a hold of anyone. I'm trying to get my job history from the IRS proving employment.
Job B - they outsourced their HR to a third party and will not write me a letter.
Job C - I think I can get a letter, still working on this. This company shut down too but luckily I still have a contact
Job D - There was a company merger. I can get pay history, that's about it.
E and F are the same company, and I'm able to supply a letter.

Question is - for the jobs I cannot get a letter for, I am told a self declaration letter would suffice. Does anyone have experience in this and does anyone have a sample letter I can go by?

Secondly, do I have to explain any employment gaps?

Thanks!

no self declaration will not work in most cases. in your case letters from job C and E,F should be enough as they add to more than 3 yrs. make job C primary NOC.
put the rest of the employment and any gaps in 'personal history', put 'unemployment' as activity for the gaps.

So if I understand correctly, put all of my job history since 2001, but I don't need to supply a letter for jobs A, B, D?

Also, when I was asked "When did you start working in your field" I put 2001 since that's when I graduated. Would I even need to put down Job A, would it matter if I deleted it?

put jobs you have letters for within the last 10 yrs in 'work history'. put all activity within the last 10 yrs including this and other employment in 'personal history'. they only ask for last 10 yrs, so 2001 to 2008 will not matter.

basically 'personal history' is a superset of work history and other activity like 'unemployment'.

If you can get CLB 9 in IELTS, then Just mention JOB 3 and JOB F in your PR application. By mentioning, i mean, claim CRS points only for JOB E and JOB F.
Rest of the jobs you can mention under personal history post ITA.

I did that, and I got PR. This can only work if you get CLB 9 in IELTS and CRS is around 440 with that.
