Hello All

I am from India , I got ITA through express entry , I am applying as main applicant with my husband . I am nervous about our marriage proof . We got married in court with the help of lawyer . our parents don't know about our marriage as they will never approve our marriage because we are from different religion and cast . We are living together from 1 and half year and have lease , phone bills ,Internet bills, marriage certificate , medical insurance from my company , few photos and lots of emails from last six years of relationship as proof . Our friends know about our marriage. is it enough to prove our marriage ?

Frankly, the only thing CIC will bother about with regards to your marriage is a valid document, preferably a Marriage Registration certificate which the court / lawyer who helped you must have provided. It does not matter if your families are not aware of the union.
