I field my refugee claim in 2016, it was quickly determined without a hearing, since then I applied and received permanent residency and recently became a Citizen. My issue is that every time I fly back to Canada I get sent to secondary immigration inspection.
As a PR using RTD I though this was normal as they need to verify where I was, the officers at the border also told that once I am a citizen it will be resolved.
I flew twice since becoming a citizen and twice was flagged for secondary, they never asked me anything they just check my passport and send on my way.
First time the officer said that he will remove the flag and that it should be fixed, the second time it happened the officer told me to contact IRCC.
Conacted IRCC, they said they have no idea and that I should call CBSA again, called CBSA they said that I have a flag due to a failed examination that was conducted when I initially filed for refugee protection, I have no idea what they are taking about and wondering if anyone has any idea how to fix this .
