Hi All,

I recently applied online for a visitor visa for my wife's parents out of India. My father-in-law is the primary applicant and mother-in-law was the secondary applicant attached to his application. Her application was approved 5 days ago (and just within the normal processing times). His application is still in progress (and therefore outside of normal processing times). We have their flight tickets booked for 16 days from now which doesn't leave a lot of time as they would need to send their passports in and get them back (7 business days). I've sent an IRCC webform query in and it got forwarded to New Delhi from Bangalore as I'm guessing this is where all online applications get processed. I am worried that I won't get a response in time or that it won't be much of a response. Is this wierd to have the secondary applicant approved while the primary applicant is still in progress? Any advice to what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

See if you can cancel the flight tickets or reschedule. You should never book tickets before you have the visa.

Reported processing times are averages and estimates. You shouldn't consider them to be deadlines or expected processing times.
