Do they process or do any work on the sponsor file? If I order my caips (access to privacy information) will I (as the sponsor) find any notes? Do they do any work on the sponsor file after the first stage?

I think those who ordered their files (both sponsor and applicant) can tell

Yes, they do check, since the sponsor must retain the qualifying points for sponsorship all through the PR application process.

Well, I guess the same exact ones. Welfare, criminality, residency for PR, proof of return for citizens, etc.

Yes, I've ordered our GCMS file once after they transfered our file to the VO. From that file I can tell you that they open the GCMS record on the day they open the file in CPC-M. They have the entries about checks on the sponsor in CPC-M.

After the transfer to the VO, I see they have requested the sponsor files from CPC-M after they have received the applicant files. I don't see any other checks at the moment. I'll order one more later on when we are a bit more into the process, and maybe more entries on the sponsor will be there.
