Hello,

I am currently outside of Canada and am looking to move to Canada (by all means).

I am aware that there are many ways to do so, including EE or through each province's programs.

However, I was wondering if it is realistic to look for a job in outside Canada through recruiting sites

(Monster, Glassdoor, etc.) even before I make the application to Canada.

The reason why I thought this is because, if I get a job offer or LMIA, it would significantly increase my

score and chance of getting a PR (obviously).

But I just wonder if this is a realistic approach and has any of you senior applicants tried the same method.

Would the employers not even give me a chance if I'm not currently in Canada and do not hold a work permit?

I know this question is a bit obvious & elementary, but would highly appreciate your help!

For a positive LMIA, recruiters have to prove that they could not find a PR or a Canadian to do the job. So you should have some exceptional skill that isn't available in Canada. Having a job is good as it will make your life easier in Canada. From a recruiters perspective, you will interview a candidate through Skype but would you offer a candidate a job without seeing them in person?

If you are banking on a job offer just for higher CRS, there are other ways to increase your CRS like more education, improving language.
