Hi,
My husband is a sailor on the cruise line and we intend to apply to move. Our estimated CRS is 440 with his work ex and my scores. My work ex doesn't qualify since it was about 9 years ago. We will be attempting the ielts by sept end. I have a lot of questions regarding the whole process. Some of which I've listed below. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
1. Since he has a better chance at applying, should he be the primary applicant, does it make a difference who the primary applicant is?
2. He has worked in 2 different liners in the last 5 years, he has all relevant company documents to prove the same. Do we need reference letters from both or only the current company?
3. How much of work ex needs to be shown, my husband have been continuously employed since 2003, is it needed to be shown? Other than experience letters do we need to show any other proof.
4. My husband will be travelling for the next 6 months, is it ok if we do his medicals after completion of express entry application or should we wait for ITA, he may not be in town at that time? this point is very confusing to me. Coz on the site, it says the e APR form needs to be submitted with the medical and if he is not present here at that time, i would be unable to respond to the ITA.
5. Can he retain his ship job even after receiving pr. If the company agrees to keep him on the rolls and he joins back after moving to Canada, can that be considered as a valid job offer. The company is american.
I would appreciate any responses on these questions, Thank you in advance,
Fiona
