Have been following this forum for quite few months now and one thing I notice is VO won't approve your SP if your past education/career does not march with what you wish to study.

I am actually looking at changing my career entirely so I was wondering what are the chances to change DLI once in Canada? Does it cause any complication in my temp status? Since I am paying so much money I want to at least invest it in something I can use to develop my new career and not just waste it studying something I don't intend to build my career in.

You can only change DLI once in Canada, if you have been actively studying at the school you got the study permit for. So study for at least a semester or a year at the school you got the permit for and then change DLI.
