Schools/courses qualified for post graduate work permits

Hi

I am now in BC Canada already on visitor visa. I want know if there are schools/courses that would allow me to obtain work permit after I graduate. I am thinking of new jobs like carpenters, technician, ... And do I need to change my visa to study visa if I get admitted by a school?

Yes, if your program of study is longer than 6 months than you need study permit. To get work permit, your program of study must be minimum of 8 months. If you study 2 years or more than 2 years, you can get work permit up to 3 years.
