hi,

After all the efforts for last 2 years, I have now managed to get the PR visa and planing to leave in July this year.

Uncertainty.....daunts.....all the time.

What am I doing?

One big question is that of schools and kids education.

Not many of the children in Canada like to study beyond class 12. Somewhere I read that one in seven students in Canada study beyond the grade 12.

One of the key reasons for moving to Canada is that I want a better future for kids. I want kids to study and have better opportunities when they grow up. Worried, if they are not interested in studies when they grow....then why are we making such a big move?

Please help, especially those who may have some personal experience.

I don't know where you read that - but it's wrong. You should do more research before jumping to conclusions:

http://www4.hrsdc.gc.ca/.3ndic.1t.4r @ -eng.jsp?iid=29

In 2012, about 53.6% of Canadians aged 15 and over had trade certificates, college diplomas and university degrees.

In 2012, a higher percentage of women (73.2%) than men (65.1%) aged 25 to 44 years had completed a post-secondary education.

In 2012, 69.2% of those aged 25 to 44 years and 59.2% of those aged 45 to 64 years were post-secondary graduates.

Just let me tell you.. studying is not everything. This is not India! We need tradespeople, too.. What do you prefer for your children? Have a masters degree and no job, or being a crane operator at $90'000 pa (http://www.payscale.com/research/CA/Job=Crane_Operator/Hourly_Rate) or truck driver $50'000 pa (http://www.payscale.com/research/CA/Job=Truck_Driver%2c_Heavy_%2f_Tractor-Trailer/Hourly_Rate)

And if they are not interested in studying, let them. It is their life.. I did not study until I was in my late 20s having worked full time 10 years. I never had a student loan or any other debts. It is a good feeling!

Just me 2 cents..

Since you are from India and looking to give the best in education for your kids. Assuming most Indian mentality prevails around making their kids doctors, engineers or MBAs only you might be a little out of luck choose Canada as a place to settle and education for kids

The following links rank the best schools in the world and you wont see Canada anywhere before 50:
