Hi friends, another query. At the time of applying to an university, I will also apply for scholarships/TA/RA that the university offers. When will I get to know if I'm awarded any of those - at the time the university offers me admission or at the time I confirm my admission by paying the confirmation deposit? Getting to know about the university's decision before I apply for visa will help me a lot, as I will be able to show this scholarship/job as a source of funding. Any help will be appreciated :)

Applying for scholarship and getting it approved may cancel**** your off campus work permit! *** so please do confirm before applying for a scholarship!
Thank you..

Why would a scholarship cancel an off campus work permit? That makes absolutely no sense.

In that case which one will be better between TA/RA and off-campus job? Also, if I opt for TA, then will that nullify any scholarship that I might receive?

@scylla, so will you recommend off-campus job over TA/RA? By communicating with Telfer I came to know that Ontario is not an ideal place for the work-study program, as government regulations restrict the number of work hours per week to only 10. So will it be better to apply to universities of other provinces such as Quebec or Newfoundland?

Refer this you will come to know what I was meant to say! 8) and do correct me if I am wrong!

What you're saying still makes no sense. There is nothing there about applying for scholarships from universities / colleges directly. Please read the conditions more carefully before posting misleading information.

The rules for all provinces are the same. You are limited to 20 hours of off campus work per week. It doesn't matter which province you choose.

I have removed my posts sychulla thanks for correcting me! ;D :P
