On the schedule a, my husband did the electronic signature, but also attached a copy of the same page with written signature. So instead of the types with the written beside it, its 2 different pages. Will our application be returned because of this, or will it be accepted?

The Complete Guide mentions: "Provide a written signature next to the printed name in the signature section of the document"
If you are submitting two separate pages (one with printed name and another with written signature), you are clearly not following the instructions. Application may be returned, however, depending on the visa officer, it could also be accepted. This is what I think. Is there no way you can email the form with the printed name to your husband so he can print it out, sign it with a pen, scan the paper and send it back to you?

Thanks for replying. That's exactly what I did this morning. I'd rather be safe than sorry

Good thing you sent the form to your husband to sign again. I just looked at the Document Checklist and it also states:

IMPORTANT: For this form to be accepted as part of a paper application, each person required to complete it must: a) type their name in the signature box at the bottom, b) validate the form, c) print out the validated form, and d) sign in writing (i.e. provide a handwritten signature) next to the typewritten name in the signature box.

It's getting expensive with the back and forth expresspost, but well worth it lol. Thank you!

i'm just now doing the applications and forms - so, i should save, complete and validate all forms and submit them electronically and then courier a hard copy of the schedule A signature pages at the same time? how do i know they'll find one another on the other side? im very confused by this part...

complete the forms, type the signature in the appropriate spot on the form. Then validate and print out. When they are printed, sign in handwriting beside the typed name.

hi and thanks - yep, got that part. but i know they want an original signature - how do i get both the electronic, completed form (with the rest of the application package) to them as well as the original signature to them at the same time? from what i understand the electronic version of the entire package is preferable in terms of timeline but how do i get them my original signature of Schedule A to go with that? unless i missed something this is the only part of the initial package that needs to be received by them as an original (as opposed to being digitally sent), correct? i SUPER appreciate any and all help!

thanks again in advance!

I'm a little confused. If you are applying for family sponsorship, spouse, you apply by paper, so everything must be printed out and sent. theres no digital submission of application.
I know some people who have applied and forgotten the handwritten part, have copied the form, and uploaded the form alone by webform. That is done after a paper application is submitted. if you do it properly, (typed electronically, validated, printed and had signed on that same form-not seperate) you dont need to send anything electronically.

i apologize for the confusion and thank you so very much for your help and patience! i was unaware that it ALL needed to be sent paper, i assumed it was to be, but kept reading about people sending it electronically so i assumed that was the preferable way. so i courier the entire packet and then submit anything else electronically if requested after receipt. phew that makes sense and things a bit easier. doing this on our own so a bit overwhelmed. makes me wonder what else i've befuddled.....a million thanks.

You cannot submit the completed application electronically. Currently all family sponsorship applications are printed and mailed to them.
