Schedule A/Background declaration form

hi all.

Filling in paperwork for our spousal visa.

With regards to schedule A form. Says the principal applicant and his/her spouse must fill in there own copy.

Might be the dumbest question, but, my wife being the one sponsoring me, she still has to fill one out?

No.....your wife being the Spousal Sponsor (PR or Citizen) should not fill Schedule A.

You (the principal applicant) and any of your family members 18 years of age or older (who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents) must fill out, print, and sign a this form.

Family members

An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application to IRCC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.​
