I was wondering what counted as an "organization" and "membership."

I volunteer at a hospital providing spiritual care to patients. Do I need to include that?

Probably not. However, including this certainly wouldn't hurt!.
CIC is not too clear on what they mean, so I'd err on the side of caution. Still, I would also say the 'membership' part of it means you joined some sort of group and are on their list of members.

K thanks...I included it in the question before it with regards to my activities in the last 10 years.

I did start to wonder though if this is going to be a problem because I recently realize that my work permit says that I can't work in health care. I assume that's because I did not have a medical exam done to get the work permit (it was a post-graduate permit). So now I'm worried that they may slap me on the wrist for being at a hospital! I hope not!

I hope CIC is not going to hassle someone for volunteering at a hospital providing spiritual care. I would guess not. If they ask about it, just explain you were volunteering. They are not going to report you to any other agency.
