Hey Folks,

During my medical, the doctor informed me that I have a scar on my chest/lungs and CIC might ask me to go through additional medical tests. I did this test in another city (Frankfurt) but live in Munich.

I read the Canadian Immigration Medical Examination Instructions and there is a high possibility that the Canadian authority might ask me to go through "TB smears and solid cultures done on 3 sputum’s" (Page Number: 3) followed by an additional X-Ray in such a case. The result of the sputum test comes after almost 2 months. I hope, you could understand that I would like to do everything in my control to avoid delay in my immigration process (A pre-emptive action to speed up my medical clearance).
  1. Could I get this test done even before CIC asks me to get one?
  2. If the answer to question 1 is 'yes', could I get this test done with a Pulmonologist doctor in my hometown (but not listed in the panel physicians approved by CIC)?
  3. If the answer to question 2 is 'no', should I complete the rest of the medical tests at the same clinic where I did my first test? (I live in Munich but did my first test in Frankfurt)
Thus, just in case, by the time CIC asks me to get this test done, it will be ready (in the next 2 months).

Timeline:
17 April 2019 - ITA received
30 April 2019 - First Medical Done
... I have not submitted my application yet (will most likely submit it on 10 May 2019)...

Thank you so much in advance!

Hey,

Its better you wait for them to ask you the results, There is not point of doing it well ahead ..

My spouse got a request for Sputum test and we got it done after we got a request.

If you submit your sputum test results now, you will complicate your application and might lead to outright rejections.

@pavan23 : Thanks so much for the reply.
Did she complete the Sputum test with the same doctor with whom she did her first medical?
Or, is it allowed to visit any specialized doctor (but not approved by CIC) to get this test done?

She had earlier sputum test results from her clinic so the CIC panel physician uploaded those by consulting her doctor...

The panel physician will give you th details.
