Hi All,

I have read so many information on ways to get PCC from Saudi Arabia.
It says you need to have someone physically in Saudi to process on your behalf through your embassy.
I no longer know anyone living in Saudi which makes it more difficult - and I do not have plans on travelling to Saudi just to get the PCC.

Has anyone tried requesting for this to be waived? Any success? Please share your experience.

Looking for your inputs.

Thnx,
Cee

The best thing to do is to go to the embassy and get a letter explaining that they won't do it for you and that you have to ask someone there to complete the process in person on your behalf. CIC just needs a good reason to waive it and it shouldn't be an issue for non-saudies.

The only thing the embassy would do is to certify a fingerprinting form (you get that from RCMP or any accredited office around Canada) and provide you with a form of representative for a person living in Saudi Arabia, and then you ship the whole package to Saudi to that person (which is something you can't do because you don't know anyone there).

It's a hassle dealing with them so good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
Well, the embassy site has it specifically mentioned.
Thus, I think what I would do is to print that from the site and submit to support my request to waive.

But I also want to know if others have tried it and what was the success rate.

Does the VO ask you to submit your pcc from Saudi Arabia?

I did not get the request yet, but trying to prepare ahead of time.
Do you know anyone who has been in the same situation? I have been looking at different threads but cannot seem to find one ...
I am really worried.

Thanks. I am based in Toronto. How did he get his PCC from Saudi?

If your application is being processed in Canada, you are not required to obtain a police certificate until the Case Processing Centre sends you a police certificate request letter. For instructions on how to apply for a police certificate, consult the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia located in Ottawa: http://www.saudiembassy.net/services/document_regulations.aspx
Quoted on the link above.

He was able to get his pcc before he left Saudi and Saudi PCC has no expiry. Unlike Kuwait's validity is only 3 mos. We needed it twice first for his work visa 2 yrs ago and renewed it for our PR. Then,he just followed the instructions for getting his PCC from Kuwait. However, he has a friend in Kuwait who helped for the renewal.
