Saskatoon part time work experience will be count to make 960 hours ??

Dear all brothers

Could you pls tell me ,, to apply Saskatoon PNP need 960 hours work experience


Present rule after six month study a student can work 20 hours a week
So this 20 hours will be count to make 960 hours or not??????? ????

In this case if my course is two years then I can work legally 1.5 years
Same time to make 960 hours /20hr a week = 48 weeks need to work

So I don't need wait to apply PNP as soon as I can finish my study I can apply work permit
As soon as I will get WP I can apply PNP

Kindly reply , my understanding is not wrong or ok

Hi,

There is no such thing called "Saskatoon PNP".

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) student stream, states that:

Under Post-Graduation Work Permit Stream- If you graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan you must have worked for at least six months (with minimum 960 hours) of paid employment in Saskatchewan.
You have a current, permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer. The job offer does not have to relate to your studies.

* Eligible types of work experience in Saskatchewan include on- campus, off-campus, co-op terms, graduate fellowships that can be verified by your institution, and work experience gained on a post-graduate work permit.

So, If you are a student in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan or in any other recognized educational institute located inside Saskatchewan.... and say you can legally find job ON-campus job (for the 1st 6 months, till your OCWP arrives) and then you start working Off campus (after 6 months.. or continue doing ON campus job) - 20 hours/week... It will take you minimum 960/20=48 weeks or approx 12 months of continuously working part time @ 20 hours/week (provided you get job by 1st month of you studies ) to complete the minimum requirement of 960 hours. In case you have a co-op term in your course... then, working at co-op jobs will cover up your 960 hours much faster. So..if you work for say 2 months full time or 40 hours X 8 weeks..then you can cover upto 320 hours and hence remaining 640 hours can be covered in 8 months working 20 hours/week. So it also depends on whether you get to do a full time co-op job or not (again for working in a co-op job, you will need to apply for co-op WP).

Once you have completed your course..then you must apply for a valid PGWP. If you have already legally worked for 960 hours by then (during studies).. you will just need a FULL TIME job offer to be eligible to apply for nomination under Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) student stream and if you have still have hours left to complete the 960 hours requirement, then you will need to 1st complete the required 960 hours on PGWP. ( with or without a full time job offer) and at the time of applying for SINP Post-Graduation Work Permit Stream, you must have a full time job offer.

BIG NO.

It need to be full-time [not less than 37.5 hrs per week] on your PGWP.
And it is only 6 months, if you graduate from Saskatchewan.

so we can not go direct from Study permit to PR even hours requirement fulfil during study permit time we have to convert study permit to PGWP once we got it then we can go to PR Application Process is that you saying ???
