Hello everyone,

I did my Bachelor degree from Sardar Patel University, Anand, Gujarat, India
here's the whole scenario with WES & my transcript from Sardar Patel University.

First I sent them my Degree and Transcript from which the degree was accepted by WES which is good but the the transcript was rejected. I sent them the transcript which was sealed by my university.
After that I called them and asked that why my transcript was rejected? and they told me on call that my transcript doesn't have a sign and stamp from Deputy Register on all the pages and on envelop.

So, I went to India and took the transcript from my college which has a sign and stamp of my College Principal and then take that transcript to university and asked my university to get sign and stamp from Deputy Register and sealed it. they did that.

Now I sent my transcript again that has the sign and stamp of Deputy Register on all the pages of the transcript and even college principal and sealed by university and sign and stamp of the Deputy Register on the envelop.

Again they reject my transcript.

I called them and they said "Your transcript should be attested, signed and stamped by the university"
I said "It has everythin"
They said "We don't know why evaluation team has reject your transcript so please send it again."

I am not sure what I am missing in my transcript.
I would appreciate any help from any one in this matter.

Thanks,
Vandan

Hey. were you able to figure this out ?
My sister is in the same situation/

I have got the evaluation done and mine was completely fine. I took copy of my MARKSHEETS (not transcripts) for all 3 years and copy of degree certificate along with originals to verify and submitted it at the university office not the college. They took the copies and I was asked to come and pick it up later. They gave me sealed envelope with sardar Patel university logo and reference number on it. I think u have to pay extra for the envelope.

I am just assuming that first post does not mention anything about "Academic Records Request Form" - which has section B For Authorized Officials
"The person named above requests that their academic records be released to World Education
Services. His or her records/statement of marks should show all subjects completed and all grades/marks awarded for all years of
study.
1) Please complete this form.
2) Place this form and academic record(s) in an envelope.
3) Sign and seal the envelope across the back flap."

I am under the process getting my transcript attested, did you ask SP University to sign on the Academic Records Request Form?

Hi p.p. thanks for the info.
So did you get transcripts or mark-sheets inside the sealed envelope?
My situation is exactly same as Vandan's case. I've got colored photocopies of the transcripts verified by the college and then verified and sealed in an envelope by the deputy registrar, Sardar Patel University but WES didn't accept it.

I gave copies of MARKSHEETS provided by SPU at the end of each year.

Hi,
Did you re-submit the documents. I also Got attested transcript from college and then attested by university stamp and registrar Stamp and signed. however, the message I received from WES is that it is not attested.

I think the only thing @p.p did differently was to ONLY submit the documents at the university. He NEVER went to the college. So unless I'm mistaken, WES wants them touched only by the institution conducting the examinations which in your case seems to be the university only. They will automatically reject any documents coming with the attestation of any other officials.

I think the solution lies in going directly to the university alone and not the college.

As Varunaimar said I only submitted my MARKSHEETS awarded by SPU not the transcripts provided by college. And u need to go to SPU main office building to give all the documents. No need to go to college.

Yes, I resubmitted he sealed transcript but it's rejected again.
The details of the rejection reads:
Reason: The document received was not issued by the institution responsible for conducting the examinations (e.g. university, constituent or autonomous college). Mark sheets must be issued, attested and sent by the university or autonomous/constituent college.

Instructions: Please have your academic document attested and sent to WES according to the document requirements stated under University Education for India.

Hi, I agree with what you said.
But I did my bachelors from GCET (V.V.Nagar) and guidelines on SPU website (https://www.spuvvn.edu/students_corner/transcript/) state that I have to get the transcripts attested by the college first before I submit those to the University.
A friend of mine did exactly same as I did and his transcripts were accepted, that's really weird!

Hmm then it's definitely weird. Did you show this link to WES and explain that you were simply doing what the university wanted? Otherwise they might have assumed that you were ignorant of their rules.

Alright, I will try your suggestion. But at the end WES wants transcript and not mark-sheets inside the sealed envelope. So would submitting the mark-sheet photocopies to the SPU would leave us with envelopes with transcripts? Thanks

Hi all,

The issue of SPU transcript acceptance by WES has now been resolved.

Here's what one should do:
Get the copies of your transcript attested by the college (e.g. GCET) and carry those to the SPU office.
Now get these college attested transcripts along with two photocopy sets of mark-sheets (Notice: mark-sheets should not be attested by the college, it should only be attested by the SPU) for each semester to the SPU office. Let the person in charge at SPU know that you want both the college attested transcripts and the mark-sheets to be attested by the Asst. Registrar and put both inside an envelope. Post or courier this sealed, signed and stamped envelope to WES and you're done.

Here's the explanation why do we include mark-sheets along with the transcripts:
I called WES and figured that they need the transcripts on the letterhead of the University and not the college. I don't know about the other colleges affiliated to SPU but GCET (when it was affiliated to SPU) issued the transcripts with the college logo and letterhead. So I emailed Asst. registrar SPU asking how to resolve this issue? Thankfully, he responded promptly with a proper explanation that I should include mark-sheets along with the transcripts inside the envelope. Now because mark-sheets were issued by the University with University logo and the letterhead, WES could treat it as a secondary proof and could compare it with the transcript. This made perfect sense, so I followed what he said and guess what my SPU transcripts are accepted.

Good luck ;)
