Hi all,

Can someone please post some samples of their "Goods List"? 90% of my goods to import are simply clothes, and blankets. I would like to know how detailed the customs office would like to see.

I would also like to know if the returning Canadian and the PR fill our separate forms. One as a returning Canadian and one as a new immigrant

I'm assuming you are talking about goods that will follow after you arrive. I don't know how I could post my list from last year, but I can tell you they don't require anything overly detailed unless you are bringing expensive things like jewelry etc. In my case a box containing clothing was just listed as "clothing", stuff from the kitchen was just called "Kitchen items". Same with the values, they just need to be ballpark. In my case the whole process was pretty simple and as near as I could tell when the goods arrived, none of the boxes had been opened or inspected.

i'm actually bringing all of my belongings with me when i land. i just wanted to make sure i dont put too much effort into this goods list form, when they don't really care too much about it.

in any case, thank you for your post BartJones!
