Hi,

I just got a salary increase, should I let Immigration Canada know?

I know I need to notify them if I have a personal information update (e.g. address / email etc), but I am not sure if I need to do the same if I have an increase...

Please help, thanks!! :o

1. Congrats
2. I dont think you have to report this to CIC...as what they are looking for (under CEC) is the long term economical sustainability of one's application...obviously your recent increase wont be a huge variable because its lacking ground to prove this income will last for a reasonable period...and thats why CIC needs us to provide so many work related proofs...

No. But, congrats!

Nope. Cec is based on your previous work experience, not future!

Well done on raise though!

Congrats!!

Also very nice to know there are nice employers around :)

Though it is not required, I guess its a good idea to inform CIC, my justification - increase in your salary means that you would be paying more taxes ;)
