I need advice pleas
I applied for MSc in Mcgill since Dec 2009
My Status on the application page have changed from Ready for Review to Recommended my the Department to Further Review Required
Recently, I got a mail with an attachment from the Program Director and Chairperson of the Review committee congratulating me for scaling through the Review process. Attached an official letter with the mail, stating that my file has gone to Graduate Studies department and that they would send me the official admission letter and post the admission in the Online Status page of my application.
Till date, this has not been done and my program classes start Sept 1st 2010 and the Canadian visa in Nigeria states that they want students to apply minimum of 3months before the start of their classes
With the situation of things, I intend to make my Study Visa Application with the letter from the program director and state that i would submit the original admission letter as soon as it arrives

Is this advisable???

Please help

Have you called the school and asked them about the official letter? I think you would definitely need it, since I highly doubt that a print-out of an e-mail will be sufficient. It's better to be on the safe side, no? Also, don't you need a CAQ since you'd be in Quebec? If you do, your school should send you two official offers of admission - one for the CAQ application and one for the Study Permit application. Just my 2 cents..
