Hi I have seen a very interesting case and I just wonder how it would be handled,

a family of 5 should proceed to renew the PR, the mother and kids are meeting the RO however the father not, taking into account that the father is the main source of income as the mother takes care of the kids, what may happened, revoke their PR all of them or provide who ever meet the RO with the new PR and revoked the father residency

thanks for reply

Answer is simple maintaining the RO is a individual responsibility so if in this case the father has not met the RO then his PR status could be revoked but rest of family having met RO would be able to renew their PR cards.

Either way father's income needs to be declared and taxed. Mother can sponsor their spouse again.

thanks for the input,

assuming the mother would start the process of sponsoring the husband will the previous breach of residence affect the process?
should the father stay in Canada or he has to leave till the new application is done

No there are no negative implications if you have not met your RO the first time and need to sponsor again. It's not clear whether father is currently in Canada and can remain in Canada for 2 years which would also allow him to meet his RO. The only possible issue may be visiting Canada during the sponsorship process. Your post doesn't have enough details for me to provide more info.

thanks for the replay, actually even myself i dont have any other details it was just a post i found and i was interested to know how Officer would handle the case
