Hi Forum,
My girlfriend's Work holiday visa is coming to an end soon and she is waiting for her Visitor Extension application to come through, she applied nearly a month ago. What we plan to do is have her stay here another month until September and then go on holiday to my home (Europe) for a couple of weeks before flying back to Canada to pack/goodbyes for another week before flying back to her home country Japan.
Situation I'm in now is, we are still waiting for a response from the Visa offices but we are both eager to apply for plane tickets back home asap as they are super cheap right now. Would it be risky to apply? What if her visa gets denied if on implied status, how long does she officially have to leave?
She has absolutely no intention of staying in Canada permanently as of now, just she wanted to spend an extra month in Canada then go on holiday then back home.
Couldn't find much information on the steps to take if she does get denied, thanks guys. We applied online, showed bank statement of $5000+ and what not so I'm sure we applied for the right visitor extension visa.
