Hi, iam an insurance underwriter and i have applied for canadian immigration back in 2004 June, got my AOR and file number in August and then it was dark for almost 4 years.
On 2008 i got a call from CHC NewDelhi enquiring about my present and just previous jobs, the company, and about my consultant. I have cross checked with my previous employer and believe me they have cross checked everything in detail with them. 2 months later i have received a letter advising me to send an updated application with changes in job, life etc.
I have updated them with all details including my marriage, my wifes and sons details within the stipulated time. Again an AOR was received and i have checked online and i could see the updated address on the CHC's website. Again no answer after that it was dead silence, you should understand my patience it is almost 6 years i have been waiting for an answer from CHC Delhi and suddenly the rule changed in june 2010.

So finally my consultant advised me to reverse the application by reapplying under my wifes name making her principal applicatant as her Job -Registered nurse falls under the 29 NOC jobs. so I have reapplied them with a declaration stating all my original appointment, experience letters are with CHC Delhi with the file number.
My concern is whether this would delay the process as now we have applied to nova scotia as per new guidelines.

It is not a problem to have two applications going at the same time but you do realize that the cap for nurses is full? Unless your wife is applying under the NOC of practical nurse that is.

My heart sank when you said you were going with your wife as PA in the RN category, unless your application was sent in the Fall. I thought there was a NOC in the 29 for people in the insurance industry??? Check this out and see if you can still apply as the PA under the FSW category Wishing you every success and congratulations on your incredible patience! Happy New Year.

It is not a problem if their are two PA who are applying at the same time with dif. VO?

No, there are no rules against it. When the rules for skilled worker were changed initially with the old list of 38 and aiming for shorter processing times, there was a lot of talk about if it was allowed for the same person to apply under the new system even if you had an application under the old one and it was concluded that CIC does not have any rules saying that you can not have many applications going. There have been people doing that and there have been people applying under PNP and FSW at the same time. If CIC is at the point that they want you to withdraw one of them because the other is moving forward, they can ask you to do it. You of course have paid double processing fees so why should they care.

As for a husband and wife applying separately with each other as dependent, that is absolutely no problem at all. I believe it was even asked and answered in the skilled worker FAQ at some point but they update the FAQ regularly, taking out old questions and replacing them so it doesn't get too big.

Thank you sir...

@Leon yes you are right and i was aware that Registered nurse cap was full and so i have applied it under licensed practical nurse category.

@ Pippin, yes mate there is but for 1233 Insurance Adjusters and Claims Examiners
Iam an insurance underwriter ..my profile do not match with the above occupation list. So i thought why take a risk and wait for so long if i can reapply via my wife as PA.

Thanks Leon for the update, but my query was do they take care of collecting all my details from CHC NewDelhi which was originally submitted when i was the PA.
