Revaluation for writing score 6.5

Please suggest if I should invest in going for revaluation for writing to get a raise of 0.5.

Difference in 2.0 already goes through recheck. You have score 8 in the rest, so there is a small chance you could still get a raise. Give it a try.

However, you should know that re-evaluation is expensive and time consuming. You are better off taking IELTS again!!
