I am a Canadian born and raised. I am in my 60's and divorced and re-married my current husband 11 yrs ago and I moved to NC USA where I currently reside. My question is what would be the best way to move back to Canada with my American husband. He is on a retirement pension but has just finished a course in college for Computer Networking "summa cum laude" (top of his class) he would like to take an apprentice course to get his certificate in Canada (Ontario) I am unable to work until I get some medical attention and finish my education, to take a course I am interested in. Has anyone got any suggestions as to how to go about this the quickest and cheapest way. I want to get out of America in these steadily worsening times and to be with my family and take my husband with me.
PS: About the LICO scale for 2 people it is at $28,182.00 Okay, what if it is my Husband's pension we live on and give or take by a few dollars we miss the mark on that amount. BUT! he will probably be going into a job there or furthering his education either by school or an apprenticeship. Will the LICO be a stumbling block in this event?
