Hello!

I just spent 8 months getting all my paperwork together to apply for criminal rehabilitation in canada. I found out last year that I am inadmissible for 2 DWAI's from 12 and 18 years ago respectively.

I sent in my completed packet based on all of the information I could find online one week ago and received it back in the mail today with an attached letter listing the things I need to correct.

On the list were 2 things. 1) A correct fee, though it doesn't say what. And 2) 2 passport photos.

The web page listed by the letter to find the new fee schedule has a lot of info but it is unclear exactly what they want. Here's my question:

Do I need to send the additional $85 for the biometric fee (assuming that's why they want the photo's) or do they want the full $1000 for "serious criminality"? I originally sent $200 per online instructions.

ANY info will be s greatly appreciated!

I run the risk of having all of my time sensitive paperwork expire before saving the $1000 if that's what they're after and I've yet to find a phone number to just ask someone.

THANKYOU!!

the CIC phone number is:

888-242-2100

if you are living outside of canada, the call will not go through. It only accepts calls from within canada. so unfortunately there are not any numbers for applicants outside of canada to call. perhaps your local visa office accepts calls?
