Hi all,
I have a doubt if anyone could answer, my valid TRV will expire in July 2021, but I am travelling soon so for example can I buy a return ticket for example to come back in August 2021? Would that be a problem? Because the duration of my trip will be for about 4 5 months. So does the TRV validity affect the return ticket? Since I know that I can be there for 6 months regardless of when I enter.
Just a confusion on my part :(

Why would you buy a ticket for August when your TRV expires in July. Make sure your refund/exchange policy is good with the airlines. CBSA determines the length of your stay when you enter. 6 months is the usual length but they can stamp it with a month if they want.

Based on your previous post you only have a single entry special authorization. You will need a new special authorization to enter again which isn't guaranteed or may take a certain amount of time. A lot depends on your spouse and getting a new WP.

CBSA can actually only give you a day if you want. 6 months is the maximum and often given but never guaranteed.
