I have been accepted into the holiday working visa which means I can work in Canada for a maximum of one year. (If someone can just verify that, that would be great) I read somewhere that I must buy a return flight or an open ticket, is this true?

Thanks very much.

In many cases you can't buy a ticket one year in advance so I have heard of many people going without a return ticket.

Exactly what I've been thinking, if for any reason I went without a return ticket could I be declined? I have well more than enough money saved to get me back home. Along with a job offer and a permanent place to stay.

If you have a one year work permit, money to support yourself and a job offer and place to stay, I don't think you have to worry about being refused entry.

IEC LOA holders have to show $2500 on entry, they don't require a return ticket.
