Reviewed the categories for immigration and was unable to find one for retired persons. In our case, we have enough lifetime income so we would not be a burden to the government, in case that's a restrictive issue. Would appreciate any information on whether retired people are allowed in or not and if so, what category we would fall under? Thanks much!

There is no immigration class for retired persons. You have to come out of retirement and immigrate as a worker under the skilled worker program (if your job eligible), under a provincial nominee program with a job offer or by getting a temporary work permit or a study permit to start and use that as a way to apply for immigration later. If you have business experience and money, an investor program, federally or under a provincial nominee program is also an option.
