I don't know your situation and this is important. Every job level has its requirements obviosly. So I would recommend taking a look at some resume advice on the internet first to understand what you really need and what could you do on your own. Here are a few examples:

But in the end it all comes to one choice - you either spend your time and try to write a decent resume on your own or spend money and get it done by professionals. I've chosen the second option. The guy from Resumes Centre called me, we discuss what kind of job I want (it was a web designer position) and together we crafted a decent resume with my portfolio. I'm not very good at writing so I doubt I could do it myself. Additionally, you can ask them to tailor your resume to the Canadian requirements.
