Restoration question

My study permit (highschool) expired and I am out of status right now.

I have been accepted to a post secondary school. Can I apply for restoration when,

my visa has expired &
I am hoping to attend a new school starting very soon. The school starts in a couple of weeks, and it is a one semester course.

You can apply for restoration up to 90 days after status expiry, if its past that time you need to leave Canada and apply for a new permit.

Restoration can take many months so consider that, also you cant work or study while awaiting restoration.
