Hi, so my situation is a bit complicated.
I came to Canada in 2012 on a study permit and completed high school here with my siblings. I entered university in 2017 but unfortunately due to my declined mental health from personal reasons I failed my courses and was asked leave my school. Due to this I spiralled into a deep depression took a lot of time before looking at my situation. I didn’t realize that my study permit was only valid if I stayed in school as my immigration documents were always handled by others for me. So by the time I realized that i had not respected the terms of my study permit, it had been 2 years of me outside of school. Since then I have seen a therapist and took online courses to get back into school and back on track (I got accepted back into university), I have also been volunteering. I am currently working with an immigration lawyer to restore my status but I was just wondering if anyone has experience with restoration of study. Is it likely to be restored if I was out of school for 2+ years?
I did take some courses during the 2 year period but did not perform well in them. Would those count towards pursuit of study?
