restoration of status

hi there, i was on work permit and i applied last year for an extension but the extension was refused because my application was incomplete, i was asked to resubmit my application within 90days for a restoration with the complete form and the letter from human resources, it took me quite a while to abtain the letter, is it possible to apply for restoration ow considering the fact tht it has been more than 90 days..

is there any chances of success??

Yes it seems already beyond the time frame when you were supposed to apply for a restoration of status.

In my case, my work visa was about to expire so I applied for a tourist visa. The tourist visa came with the same expiration date of my work visa (june 17 2011). Because of Canada Post strike, I received the visitor's visa on June 29 2011 (it was already expired upon arrival). So I applied for a RESTORATION OF STATUS online right away to become a tourist. I have to remain in Canada because I have a PERMANENT RESIDENCE application in process in the USA.

Anyone knows the length of time it takes to get a response from the RESTORATION OF STATUS?
