I am an irish citizen who was previously on a 2 year working holiday in Canada...I overstayed my visa by one month not working..i was going to restore my status as visitor as I know I have up to 90 days after my visa expires but my circumstances changed and I had to leave to go back to Ireland...without restoring my status, would there be any problem at the border if I ever decide to come back for a holiday and can I explain this as a valid reason at the border?? please and thank you for your responses ;D

There shouldn't be a problem. You have a 90 day grace period to restore your status or leave and you left within the 90 days.
