You can apply for restoration of status with your application. Are you doing a work permit? If you do that then you'll be in implied status once you submit your application. Our lawyer said it can take longer if you aren't in status at the time of application ( it doesn't always- but it can). Are you within the time frame that you can restore your visitor status online first?

And you didn't apply to extend your visitor status before it expired?

What country are you from? If the US you can apply to have it reinstated online. I am not sure of other countries but here is the link :my visitor visa expired yesterday
