Restoration as visitor + working holiday visa

Hello everyone,

I have an ongoing application for a restoration of status as visitor. And I applied for a working holiday visa with the job offer, I am waiting for the invitation.

What happens if I receive the invitation for the wh but the restoration hasn't been processed? Can I withdraw the restoration and activate the wh? What consequences does it has for future applications to withdraw an application for restoration?

The restoration application must be successful. You can't activate a work permit without valid status in Canada.

The only way you can activate the work permit without the restoration application being successful is by leaving Canada.

And do you know if leaving and re entering to activate the work permit has any consequences like for example that when I re enter to activate the work permit they deny the entrance. Or if in the future I want to apply for something will be seen as a negative thing?

It depends what you mean by leaving and re-entering.

If you're talking about flying back to your home country and then returning to Canada to activate the visa, no issues.

If you're talking about "flagpoling" and going to the US/Canada border, exiting Canada and then immediately returning to Canada, that's going to be a problem. You can't flagpole while out of status.
