I'm working on my Permanent Resident application, which will be sponsored by my Canadian common-law partner. I'm an American citizen and have been staying in Canada (almost) full-time with my partner since September. For the purposes of completing form IMM 0008 (page 1 Question 10 and page 2 Question 2), does that mean that I now reside in Canada? Or is the U.S. still technically my place of residence (because I don't yet have PR status in Canada)?

You can "reside" in Canada without being a PR. In our case, my common-law partner was here in Canada with a study permit when we submitted our app, and we put she was residing in Canada at our shared address here.

I concur, I've used my Canadian address on everything, including extensions to my Visitor's Record.

Thank you both for your help.
