My PR card had expired in March 2008 and I had not completed my 730 days. I applied for my PR card renewal in June 2008. In October 2008 I recieved a letter from CIC that they have reviewed my case and send the file to the Toronto office for further review which will result in additional delay. I called the CIC hotline to find out the progress and the agent said residency reviews could take upto 18 months. Can someone provide me any insight on residency reviews? Min/max how long do they take? Should I contact the local office for the status or just wait to hear from them.
