Received evaluation for my wife. Her report says "The names on one or more of the academic credentials submitted for evaluation differ from the name indicated above." It also states the Equivalence of her Indian degrees visavis the Canadian degrees.

What does this mean?

Has WES approved her application or rejected it?

Are the academic credentials approved or rejected?

Also, the reoort also states that it is the responsibility of the candidate to clarify in case of a difference in name.

So do i need a Letter of Explaination? If so, what should be thr format?

Did the school she received her degree from change their name from when she graduated? How different is the name?

Hi

She changed her name after completion of her degrees. The name on her passport is ABC DEF (First Name qnd then second name) and the name on her degrees ie ABC (first name) only.

WES has written in their report that the name of the candidate as appearing in the academic records is different from the application name.

Oh...I see. I misunderstood.

So WES did send her an ECA report? If yes, I would assume as long as you have a letter of explanation with documented proof of the name change then it should be fine.

Hi. Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, she received a copy of the Evaluation Report. Is there a prescribed format for the LOE? If so, please share it. Also, do i need to get it notarized? If yes, then please tell me the further details for the same. Also, what is the necessary documentations that i need to suvmit for her name change? For example, in India, we have a published newspaper extract to state the change of name and other documentations such as the Passport which has the new name stated. Is there anything else that we need to submit?

Also, can i find this on the website of WES or IRCC or can they state this in an email or something? So that i can print that and add to my documentations while applying for PR.

Thanks

I'm sure if you search the forum you can find examples of LOE. I personally have not written one. I also don't think it needs to be notarized, but it also won't hurt. Unfortunately I don't know enough about this topic to answer your other questions. Hopefully someone else does. Good luck.
