Hi All,
I was told that in order to continue processing my application, IRCC requires a police certificate (Residence from 2013/06/06 to 2018/10/04) from Austria. However this is confusing for the following reasons:
- I was only in Austria from 2013/06/06 to 2013/08/14, and was below 18 years old
- I was in Canada from 2013/08/14 onwards, and have not left the country since
It says on their website that they don't need a police certificate from prior to 18 years of age or in Canada. My personal history from 18 years old onwards has entirely been in Canada. Why would they request a police certificate from Austria if I was either below 18 years old, or in Canada for the entire period? Was this a mistake on their end?
I have already submitted a web form clarifying this, but am also curious if there are any other next steps I should take.
Thanks!
