Hello everyone,

I just received a request letter from EE advising the below:

"There were technical issues as a result of the switch to the 2021 version of the National Occupational Classification (NOC 2021), which have impacted aspects of the Express Entry system."

"As a result, the Invitation to Apply (ITA) that we sent to you on January 18, 2023, that invited you to apply for permanent residence was sent due to a system error. According to information on file, you did not meet the eligibility requirements for that invitation."

In the letter, they also suggested that I should (but not necessarily) withdraw my application because I will likely not be meet the requirement.

Did anyone ever receive such a letter? I checked my NOC code, it was new five-digit 2021 and everything was correct.

Any advise or insight would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!!!

Did you meet the cut off score for the draw? Were you impacted by the tie breaking rule? How many points did you have at that time and when was your EE profile submitted?

Yes, cut off score was 490, my overall score is 501. I submitted my profile on December 18, 2022 and received the invitation letter on January 18, 2023.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't qualify for the invitation in that case. Were you given any points incorrectly?

Hardly, because I only claimed for one year's working experience.

I guess what I am asking is if you are sure the 501 points awarded to you was accurate. There was a period of time when IRCC was changing to the new NOC system when people were incorrectly given extra points. How did you get to the 501 points with only a year of work experience? I would recommend checking to make sure you weren't given points incorrectly.

I checked again, it's still 501. My friend and I have exactly the same status and she got approved earlier.

27 years old. Master's degree in Canada; CLB 10 for each English langage ability but don't have French test scores.

Did you claim points for having a job offer? If so, are you on a closed work permit or do you have an approved LMIA?

Not really, I didn't claim any points for job offer or trade certification.

I'm not sure any of us can help further without knowing your full profile.
