request for new work permit while having a valid work permit

Hi,

I currently have a valid work permit which will expire on december 2015, my question is what will happen to my valid work permit if I filed for a new work permit for different employer? Am i going to send back home because the new work permit is denied?

Even if your second work permit is denied, you can still stay until your current one expires. In fact you will still have time to apply multiple times or apply for restoration of status if you make your first attempt well in advance.
