Reporting for Medical Exam

Hi all,

I've been asked by the Canadian Consulate to do a medical exam after submitting my application online. Is it safe to say that if I pass the medical exam, then I will already get my study permit? Or do they do the review of your paperwork and the medical review in parallel?
