If CIC decides to do something about it, then your student and work permit will be canceled and you will be told to leave Canada.

As Scylla said. However, under the new rules in effect now your SP would be effectively cancelled. So, even if CIC does not come knocking on your door to remove you from Canada, you still have no legal right to be here. Any illegal stay will have a major impact on any future benefits that you want for CIC
