Renting Apartment - Seniors please clarify

when we left canada i was pregnant and my hubby came accompanied me to india and he lost his job while we were in india and so he didnt have any source to return to canada.so he stayed in india with me.we broke the lease agreement for our appartment we rented and didnt pay the lease termination fees.we just left the appartment as if we would return back.now since my hubby again got a job he is going back,will he be facing any problems there in canada?
will he be able to rent an appartment? please clarify.

If the landlord had a judgement against him for paying the lease termination and other fees outstanding, it will definitely affect his credit and it may be hard for him to find another place to rent now.

So you are saying that you left the apartment full of furniture and things and just stopped paying rent? Did you ever tell the landlord that you are not coming back? Maybe the landlord had to pay to have the apartment emptied and to dispose of your things.

You should contact the landlord and find out what the bill is. Then you can think about which is better, to negotiate payments or to live with bad credit.
