Renewing or Extending OWP while waiting for PR

Hello,

I'm sponsoring my wife for PR inland, and it's been 14 months that we're still waiting for AIP. Her OWP that gives her the legal status to stay here is expiring in a month because her passport is expiring too!
She just got her passport renewed, and now my question is what do I do for the OWP that is expiring?

- Do I apply to extend her OWP? (if so what application I need to use?)
- Do I apply for a new OWP? (if so what application I need to use?)

Anything else I should do while we wait for her PR decision?

You don't apply for a new OWP, you will apply to extend her OWP.
