This is my first time renewing with this new way via the Portal. Kindly let me know if you are able to help answer my questions below. Thank you!!!
Questions:
1. I've been living in Canada for the last 37 years. Do I still need to provide evidence of this i.e. Notice of Assessments or Bank Statements such as indicating a deposit from a Government Funded Program? In the instruction manual, it almost indicates you need to provide proof of this only if you have been living in Canada LESS than 5 years.
2. All trips outside of Canada have been day trips within the last 5 years. How is this indicated on the chart? I answered YES to have you spent time outside of Canada. But when it comes to indicating this on the chart, it only allows me to write a "to" and "from" date with different dates, even though I visited another country and returned the same day. No overnight trips were taken. All trips have been land border crossing shopping trips.
