renewal of passport/ URGENT

my daughter's passpoert is due to expire on april, 2015. should i get it renewed or wait till they ask for the passports.
I M SO WORRIED KINDLY SUGGEST.

my application was received on 9th may and is under process i am expecting a call for medical this month.

If it takes 4 weeks max. to get the passports renewed, then you can renew at the time of receiving the medical request.

do i need to inform them that i have submitted my passport for renewal

Once you recieve new passport, you can submit scanned copy of new passport through web form to update your file. No need to inform visa office while passport is under renewal process.
